Assam universityAssam University developed through Assam (Central) University Act, 1989 (Act. No. XIII). It was established in 1994,since the University is becoming an excellent center for getting knowledge.
The University has nine Schools on highly major disciplines. They are Social Sciences, Humanities, Languages, Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Information Sciences, Management Studies and Technology.
